Supporters of Coast Shelter
There are a large number of businesses and people who contribute to Coast Shelter each year. There are some however, who not only make a significant contribution but are continuing supporters of the work that Coast Shelter undertakes. The following are our larger sponsors who, through their generosity have helped Coast Shelter.
Coast Shelter is funded by Community Services to provide supported accommodation and brokerage services to homeless men, women, youth and families.
The Central Coast Leagues Club has supported Coast Shelter from the very beginning in various ways. The greatest contribution has been to provide free premises for our office and the Donnison Street Community Centre.
Gosford City Council have leased Rumbalara Youth Refuge to us at a "peppercorn" rent since 1992. Additionally Council have provided financial support for our various programs and events. They have also provided new premises at 346 Mann Street, Gosford for the new Coast Community Centre to be built.
Sanitarium is an extremely generous supporter, providing ongoing donations of food to the Community Centre in addition to helping out with fundraising events and sponsoring our various accommodation projects.
MARS Food Australia has consistently supported Coast Shelter by providing food for the Donnison Street Community Centre which provides free meals to people who are homeless and disadvantaged.
Central Coast Region of Clubs NSW have provided the funds needed when our Coimba Men's Refuge faced closure. Fundraising events and direct contributions have also provided much needed assistance to Coast Shelter.
