There are a large number of businesses and people who contribute to Coast Shelter each year. There are some however, who not only make a significant contribution but are continuing supporters of the work that Coast Shelter undertakes. The following are our larger sponsors who, through their generosity have helped Coast Shelter.

 

Department of Community ServicesCoast Shelter is funded by the Department of Community Services through the Supported Accommodation Assistance Program. This Program is jointly funded by the Commonwealth and State Governments to provide accommodation and assistance to homeless families, men, single women and children.

 

Central Coast Leagues ClubThe Central Coast Leagues Club has supported Coast Shelter from the very start by providing event and meeting venues and donations. The greatest contribution has been to fund the administrative office space and the Donnison Street Restaurant. Not having to find the rent for these premises enables considerable resources to be allocated to directly service our clients.


Newcastle Permanent Charitable FoundationNewcastle Permanent Charitable Foundation has adopted Coast Shelter as one of its sponsored charities and each year contributes $42,000 to keep the Donnison Street Restaurant open.



Sanitarium Health Food Company is an extremely generous support, providing donations of food to the Donnison Street Restaurant in addition to helping out with fundraising events and sponsoring houses to use in the Coast Shelter Wyong Outreach Program which allows Coast Shelter to provide additional accommodation for families.

 

Gosford City CouncilGosford City Council has leased Rumbalara Youth Refuge to Coast Shelter at a "pepper corn" rent since Coast Shelter took over the running of the refuge in 1992. Additionally the Council has provided financial support for small internal programs and assisted with the building of the Donnison Street Restaurant.

 

Clubs NSWCentral Coast Region of Clubs NSW stepped forward and provided the funds needed when Coast Shelter was faced with closing Coimba Men's Refuge. Fundraising events and direct contributions have continued to support Coast Shelter.

 

NRMA Motoring + ServicesNRMA Motoring + Services, through their Gosford office, support Coast Shelter by way of generous financial support in addition to staff regularly providing and helping to serve meals in the Donnison Street Restaurant.



Quay West Magenta ShoresQuay West Magenta Shores support Coast Shelter through a generous and innovative initiative. Magenta Shores are Coast Shelter's 'Event Partners' and provide accommodation, meal, golf and beauty packages as prizes and auction items to Coast Shelter and other supporters for events which raise funds for Coast Shelter.

 

Central Coast Express AdvocateCentral Coast Express Advocate has consistently highlighted the problems in the community that Coast Shelter is addressing. They have also been an advocate for Coast Shelter within the community and supported us with event sponsorship.

 

2GO 107.7 FM2GO 107.7 FM has consistently supported Coast Shelter with sponsorship of events. Advertising events through 2GO has assisted Coast Shelter to maximise its fundraising endeavours.
