Services and Programs

Coast Shelter is a registered charity based on the Central Coast of New South Wales. While essentially being an emergency accommodation Service, Coast Shelter also provides assistance by way of a Restaurant serving free meals to those in need each day.

Coast Shelter is also a strong advocate for social justice, particularly in relation to those on low incomes and suffering "housing stress".

Coast Shelter consists of:

Kara Women & Children's Program - provides supported accommodation to homeless single women and women with children

Coimba Men's Refuge - provides supported accommodation to homeless men.

Maya Young Women's Refuge - provides temporary supported accommodation to homeless young women.

Rumbalara Youth Refuge - provides temporary supported accommodation to homeless youth in Gosford.

Youth Angle - provides temporary supported accommodation to homeless youth in Umina.

Donnison Street Community Centre - provides free meals and support services to homeless and disadvantaged personsa with the help of an amazing volunteer workforce. The Community Centre now includes a No Interest Loan Scheme.

Wyong Accommodation Support Program - provides supported accommodation to homeless families in the Wyong Shire.

Intoxicated Persons' Program - a program which provides safe accommodation to intoxicated or drug affected homeless men.

Central Coast Homeless Family Brokerage Service - improves service delivery and housing security for homeless persons and those at risk of homelessness.
